Astitva foundation is a non profit organization is in action from past 12
years. Our main aim is to build a better future of the young generation of
New India by supporting them towards the expenses of education We
focus towards welfare of farmers, drought areas, tree plantation
drive,cattle shed, old age people,widows,poor people who are unable to
afford a living, handicapped and malnourished children.
Astitva is multitasking in many such fields.
A normal person who dedicated his life for the improvement of the society. He firmly believes that everything can be changed if people join hands together and work for the betterment of the society. He has been single handedly working for many years now and has decided to unite people in this path of helping the needy people.
He himself has a very much inspiring story, which we had to share:
The founder of Astitva foundation Mr. Sunil Suryawanshi was born in a poor family of 5 members in the village of Bhandavali. Parents being farm labourers had a mere income which led him to study at Gram Panchayat School where he studied very hard with full dedication. When he was in 5th standard his father passed away leaving behind tons of sorrows. He was a very bright student but due to lack of materials and not being able to pay school/college fees further, he had to leave education after 10th standard.
He decided to leave for Mumbai for the need of a stable life and good education with mere sum of Rs 45 in his pocket. He left for Mumbai and reached Sion where he had to spend 2 days on station, hungry and clueless about what life was going to show him .He searched for job here and there, faced tons of rejection but never did he lose hope and firm belief in himself. Finally, owner of Sagar Hotel Mr. Shankar Shetty hired him a job of dishwasher along with meals two times a day. Though language was a huge communication barrier, he joined Sion Dyan Sadhana Night College for higher education. With his sheer will of learning and dedication, he completed B.Com with distinction along with job. Later he was promoted as cashier in the hotel. The belief, hard work and dedication finally paid off when he started working in credit card banking department for HSBC as Marketing Executive. After long struggle, Mr. Sunil is well settled in Dombivali East and owns a business in financial industry with three branches working across Mumbai as Channel Partner with financial firms.
Though he always faced so many struggles and hardship, he lived his life with full of energy and a will to help the people in need. During the course of time, he always helped the people who required education, food, medical emergencies. Always had this wish to help our dear farmers who actually provide us with the food we get today but still their existence is unnoticed.
Obstacles will come in our way but only to show us what ability we have as a human being to change our lives as well as the lives of the people in need .
